Slideshow: Childhood drawings.

Born September 28, 1907, in Fresno, California, and named after a beloved family horse, Bonnie Cashin began designing her own clothes as an “apprentice” to her mother, Eunice, a custom dressmaker and dress shop owner.  Eunice would sew her daughter’s creations, and she kept nearly 100 drawings.
